As a guqin lover living in Sydney long term, the biggest obstacle I faced early on was the lack of guqin resources locally, and the inconvenience of overseas transport and delivery. I was frustrated with not having any physical guqin for comparison in person, and was unable to distinguish between different timbre, hand feel and varying level of craft that is standard for each price point.

Over time, I have hand picked and accumulated a number of guqin in my collection, with different styles and craftsmanship. It has become an excellent resource for students to compare their difference sound and feel, and learn to distinguish quality from mediocrity. This is what I wished to have been available at the start of my journey, and I hope it can help many others who are on the same journey as me.
